- great out of box, but not durable
I bought this product almost exactly one year ago. Was very happy with it out of the box. Best case and holster I've ever used. Looks slick. However, the clip on the holster broke after one year, rendering the holster unusable. I don't think I have abused it in any way, just normal use. I see that a few other reviewers have had similar problems. Initial quality I would give five stars, but durability is lacking. - Good Case; Breaks Just Like They Say
Case works fine. But just like all the other reviews say (which I hoped were overblown and I believed that Seidio had redesigned the case), the clip breaks off. Lasted six weeks of light use; then "SNAP." The end. No use bothering to try to return it with the heinous return policies. - Nice, while it lasts.......
Purchased ten months ago, used daily yet carefully. Loved it, up until it broke and the holster became useless. Contacted the manufacturer and was told TEN MONTHS was actually very good for the products' lifetime. Their customer service is apathetic and slow as well. Case is excellent, stay away from the so called holster - Good case, but less protection than OtterBox
The Seidio Innocase II is a great case and clip combo, but it is thinner and harder than the OtterBox. The downside is that it offers significantly less protection from drops. - How long will it last?
I used Seidio holsters on my old Treo700p phone for years. They generally lasted over a year before breaking. I realized the iPhone holster will necessarily be smaller than the Treo holster, but was unpleasantly surprised at how tiny the clip is. No wonder so many reviewers report it breaks within a short time. It doesn't look like it can last long. The clip has to be narrow to fit between the iPhone's headphone jack and the on/off switch, but they could have made the clip, and the lip of the holster that it attaches to, thicker and used a larger spring. I like the look and feel and it does what it's supposed to do, as long as it doesn't break. I'd give it 4 stars (1 star off for being overpriced), but with an obvious design defect that Seidio must be aware of from all the user feedback, and chooses to do nothing about, I give it 3 stars and will try to treat it very gingerly.
