  • Works great with EVO 4g with correct adapter
I am a great fan of plantronics wired, mono headsets with boom mics. In particular, they have excellent sound quality for both me and the person on the other end of the line (especially when I am calling from my car) and require no charging. To get this particular model to work with the Evo, you need to get a 4-contact 2.5mm female to 3.5mm male adapter. This headset itself has only 3 contacts but, for whatever reason, it works only with a 4-contact adapter. Yes, the answer button and the mute switch still work. Stranger still, a different plantronics 4-contact, 2.5mm headset does not work with this adapter - its earpiece is extremely low volume.
  • Plantronics headset for cell phone
Yes good sound quality and volume level.

But the "wind proof" feature does not hold to its promise; it does not really work.
  • Not exactly as described...
I have used this type of Plantronics headset in the past for my cell phone and was very pleased. I now have a Blackberry. The product description stated that this headset would fit the Blackberry and it does not! The plug basically swims in the headset hole of the Blackberry. I am disappointed.
  • Works well
Wired headsets tend to last me about a year. I work at home and use headsets with my cordless telephones, so I definitely put them through their paces. They all seem to die the same death when the wire wears out at the junction with the phone-side connector. The last time I didn't have a decent backup and used the headset that came with my xbox360 Elite package, but it too succumbed just like the rest. :) These are cheap enough that I bought four of them.
  • These work well and are louder than most.
These sound great and are louder than most. This is helpful as I have a high flow exhaust system-(Noisy). I really like this unit ans wear it all the time.
