I didn't get to find out about the battery because after I ordered it and the extended phone door you have to buy so the battery will fit.i received the battery and the extended door was canel because they don't have it anymore.Now I am stuck with a battery and no door. - A great upgrade
After dealing with daily recharges and phone cut off from standard
battery, this extended life battery is great--2 to 3 days life. but
couldn't find an oversized door to fit over it. - false advertising, this does not fit the VX3300
This does not fit into the VX3300 as advertised here. So you end up paying shipping charges both ways by this misleading claim. - Made in Japan???
I would like to know if this battery was made in Japan, because the Korean version DOES NOT hold a charge. - Excellent Performance at a Bargain Price
Received my new battery promptly and was very pleased to find that it is a brand-new, genuine, LG Brand Battery -- with 1700 mAh capacity.
Many other "extended" batteries that were available from other vendors were after-market brands with only 1400 mAh capacity.
This genuine LG 1700 mAh battery is thicker than the original, and requires a replacement door -- which I also purchased at a ridiculouly-low price from Amazon.com --- The LG VX8100 phone is slightly thicker and slightly heavier with the more powerful and longer-lasting battery in place, but it's WELL worth the slight increase in heft to gain the GREATLY-INCREASED talk and standby times.
PERFECT for your VX3200, VX3300, VX4500, VX4700, VX6100, and VX8100 LG Phones. Don't leave home without it !!
UPDATE -- September,'09: After a full year of use, the extended-life battery has performed perfectly -- and the charge seems to last FOREVER !!!
