  • What hardware failed?
    I got stuck with the old chicken or egg problem. I got the RAM in quickly to upgrade a client's laptop, plugged in the replacement banks and 'CLICK!'. No more power converter. Did the RAM cause the power converter in the laptop to fail, or was that just the change of environment the converter was looking for to 'give it up'? Reminds me of the time I replaced the tape drive in a machine and the main board died. The only way the drive could have made that happen was to be improperly installed, with a vengeance. It was not, just coincidence. Maybe this is too. Don't know yet. But it IS the FIRST time I've ever had problem with any RAM from Amazon, but that's not proven yet.

    I ordered few item, later they cancelled it and raise the price.

    so if you order anything beware, you will be cancelled later.

  • Kingston RAM A-OK
    Kingston Memory 1 GB was just what my computer needed to speed it up. Processing and delivery of item was fast. RAM seems to working well.
  • Works fine
    The memory works fine but be very careful installing it. I decided to do it myself on my laptop after reading the installation instructions online. Well, as I was explained later, I didn't plug it in firmly enough before turning the laptop back on. It caused destruction of my mother board. So I had to pay $250 to replace the mother board for $450 laptop. Very expensive experience for me. It's better to pay $20 at any computer repair store so that they do the installation properly.
  • Excelente upgrade para laptop
    Tengo un Toshiba Satellite con Windows Xp Home, la cual venia con 256 mb de memoria, era una tortura usarla con esa capacidad. Le agregue 512 y mejoro, pero siempre era lenta. Me decidi a ponerle la mayor capacidad de memoria que soporta, revise el sitio de toshiba y luego busque la memoria recomendada aqui en Amazon, el precio muy bueno. En cuanto le instale la nueva memoria era increible la velocidad, ahora arranca en mas o menos 30 segundos, se apaga en 15 segundos y es una maravilla trabajar en ella. Realmente estoy convencido que para mejorar el desempeño de cualquier laptop hay que agregarle la mayor capacidad de memoria que soportan.
    Muy satisfecho con esta compra, ademas es Kingston recomendada por el fabricante de la laptop.
