- Exactly what I needed, but improvements are needed
This charger works great and is exactly what I needed for my computer. However, the male/female plug-in for the dongle doesn't hold the wire well. If there is any strain on the cord at all it disconnects. This is not an issue with this seller, it is an HP problem. I will buy from this seller again! - It works as expected if you play nice with it
Given the mixed reviews of this product I took my chances and bought 2 in case one of them was a dud. At $12 each I could buy 5 or 6 for the 'retail' price of this thing. Yes the little adaptor is not the tightest thing in the world, but it's a power cord for a laptop, not a vacuum cord or some other industrial piece of equipment that's meant to be tugged on and swung around constantly. Treat it nice and it will treat you nice.
With that being said, when I got home both boxes appeared to be already open. Maybe my wife opened them both, but the glue on the top was broken on both. They don't look used as others mentioned, and the adaptor dongles were both still packed in sealed plastic.
One other thing to note (again I don't know all the details because my wife told me this) is that there was a note from the USPS stating that we owed an additional $5.99 for shipping. Since I bought 2, Amazon calculated shipping as $6.99 which I was fine only paying $1 more to ship a second one, but maybe this isn't correct. I haven't paid the extra amount yet since I haven't seen the mystical note (apparently it got lost quickly), but just a heads up in case you want to do the same. - It is perfect!
I am always skeptical about buying laptop chargers off brand or online but I'll tell you for $17 I was willing to take the risk. Turns out this charger has been working perfectly, perfectly, perfectly. I am extremely happy with my purchase. The only thing that bugs me is that the price has dropped [...] bucks lower since I bought it, lol. - right charger did not work at all
ordered charger no problem with delivery when it came pluged it in it did not work at all had it checked to make sure it was bad and it was. did not send it back because it would cost more to ship and the restocking fee then to just pitch it in the garbage. wont order from this company again - perfect
