- I love my crabble
I didn't realize how much I loved it until I lost it. I HAVE to order another one! It is easy, small, portable and handy. Inexpensive, great little item. - good, but too flimsy for an iphone 4
I bought this for my iphone 4. Loved the idea of a lightweight folding stand. It's simply a piece of plastic scored in the middle so it can fold, with a soft plastic band on the 'feet' to both stabilize it and grip the iphone/ipod. Good simple design that would work, except that the iphone 4 is too heavy for it. When used upright, the iphone tilts the stand over. When used sideways, the legs bend slightly, but it does work that way.
I'm going to rate this high because it IS exactly what they claim it is, and they never claimed it would work for the iphone 4. And it was worth trying for me.
- Works Poorly With Safety Covers or Cord.
Clever gadget, but no extra room in the notch that holds the iPhone to deal with a rubber cover around the edge.
When the iPhone is in the vertical position, the data/power cord will not fit neatly into the phone.
- Amazing deal for the price...however:
So...the Crabble functions as advertised....but...
1) If you don't have a case with cutouts on your iPhone; next to impossible to position in landscape (for programs that don't flip to the other side) because the left foot hits the button cutout.
2) It's a bit flimsy, the legs try to fold over unless you have the device adjusted almost perfectly.
3) If you want it in your wallet, you better not have anything smaller than a bi-fold. Checkbook? Probably a great fit. I can't fit it in my trifold without worrying about damaging it.
...all in all, it's amazing for the price, but there are a few little bugs that I personally dislike about it. (Also in its defense, it is not advertised for the iPhone 4, but it works fairly well with the one exception to the case designs for the 4's) - Fits Samsung Captivate
I just used this with the Captivate on an air trip and it worked fine.
