I've been a happy user of Callpod charging dock for about 2 years. It is so convenient to be able to charge all of my electronics from a single location (& in the car). We just completed a cross-country roadtrip and would have had a bunch of dead cell phones had it not been for the callpod.
This accessory (the micro USB adapter) fits my Blackberry Bold by TMobile and charges it without problem. - junk
the lead is too short, does not always make electrical connection, there is no indication as to orientation, so that your device may actually have to be placed face down while charging,or twist the callpod connector 180 degrees, and since it is so short twisting may cause damage, for $10 bucks, ripoff - Callpod idea is brilliant
I bought a base unit and the proper adaptors as an Xmas present for my husband (and myself too!) and loved it so much that I got another one for travel. It's well-designed, easy to use, and the second one that I bought, I got without all the "starter" adaptors - I just got exactly what I needed. So just be certain of what types of plugs you've got, and you'll be fine. Great idea - who DOESN'T need this! - Chargepod is one of the most frustrating items I have ever bought
How can I describe the endless frustration of trying to get a chargepod that fits my two phones? The advertising copy with the base unit and all those different adapters cheerfully says it charges 'most phones'. But not mine. I ordered another adapter - which had the prefix of my phone in the list - "charges most Samsung phones." That turned out to be one of the ones I had already bought with the base unit. So I went looking for any other adapter on the chargepod list which might actually charge my Samsung phone, and found one which listed the prefix of my phone in its long list of Samsung phones which it charges. This one did not fit either. Several hours with the Callpod website finally revealed this unit, which lists BY MODEL NUMBER my Samsung phone. But guess what. Not even close. This farce has consumed endless hours and more than $100, all in the name of reducing clutter and greater 'convenience.' What a fool I am to pursue such a ridiculous goal to begin with. Don't be a fool and repeat my mistake.
