Adapter works very well with my Blackberry Curve 8900 and my existing headset. Plenty of volume (I can hear well and callers can hear my voice). - Works for LG Chocolate Touch.
After a very frustrating time searching for an adapter for my LG Chocolate Touch, I found this. It fits, it works and there is no problem with hearing a call or a caller hearing me. I am able to plug in a regular, one ear headset that has a 2.5mm male connector. - Impossible to hear
Thought I'd fork out the extra dough for a Blackberry brand adapter for my Tour so that I could use previously purchased 2.5mm cell headsets and since I'd seen dodgy reviews about cheaper adapters.
Plugged it in and tried it out. The audio was quieter than a whisper with the phone volume on max. Unusable. The person on the other end seemed to be able to hear me fine.

I tried the adapter on a Blackberry Curve 8330 and it works great. Even the mute function on the headset works. Now I can use all my old earpieces from previous phones. Another advantage is that there are more headsets on the market with the 2.5 mm plug than the bigger one. Buy with confidence, it will work.
